My 7 core principles

How mediation works

Mediation is a confidential, voluntary process in which you, as parties to a conflict, work together with the support of a multipartial mediator to develop a solution that truly works for you in the long run.

Rather than asking who is right, the focus lies on your actual interests and needs: understanding yourself and the other side more clearly, discovering new perspectives, and building a genuine foundation for a new future.

The process

  1. 1. Arrival & framing setting the ground rules together.
  2. 2. Clarifying the topics that need resolving.
  3. 3. Open solution space a space for possible solutions, without pressure.
  4. 4. Perspective shift using creative techniques for new insights and clarity.
  5. 5. Plan of action a written plan of action and agreement.

Usually around 3–5 sessions of 1.5 hours, depending on the process.
